Tapping for Emotional First Aid during Covid-19 (Emotional Freedom Technique)
Interested in learning how to deal with negative emotions?
We all have seen the use of first-aid boxes in offices and homes. However, they do not help us in the first-aid management of the emotional injuries. They are meant to deal with emergency physical injuries.
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) or tapping is a method that can be used as an “emotional” first aid, especially during the challenges posed by Covid-19 pandemic.
Why should I learn this?
New evidence in the area of psychoneuroimmunology or neuro-plasticity confirms the central link between emotion and physiology. EFT uses body stimulation as an element to influence the changes in the emotions. It is safe and can be self-administered or facilitated by the therapist. It has been demonstrated to help in anxiety, management of phobia, pain and even in traumatic disorders.
What will I learn?
This short session covers what, why, how of EFT. Specific focus will on its use for managing Covid-19 related emotional challenges.
After attending the session, the participant will be able to use EFT for self and others as a first-aid for emotional challenges.
