Case studies, based on our experience, provide unique learning experiences which are difficult to replicate in the workshop (or class) environment. Our modules are designed in such a way that, (a) each module allocates a significant amount of time for practice and observation, (b) there are demonstrations by the trainer so the participant can learn the nuances, beyond what is available in the theoretical framework.
Despite the above, we believe it is critical for all the psychotherapists-in-making to (a) learn how to enrol clients, (b) learn how to address their questions, and (c) do real-life work with the prospective clients. Case studies help us achieve that. As part of the certification journey, candidates must complete a minimum of 25 hours of supervised case study work (5 hours per module, from Module 2 to 6). This forms a vital bridge between learning and independent practice. The process is designed to be comprehensive and experiential, providing trainees with a structured environment in which to apply therapeutic tools and techniques while receiving expert feedback and guidance.
Case Studies
Participants are expected to:
Participate in the supervision of earlier modules, which reinforces learning and builds mentoring capabilities.
In addition, each participant pursuing EARTh certification is required to complete a minimum of 6 personal therapy sessions (EARTh mandates this). This occurs through therapy or coaching sessions led by a certified therapist. This fosters personal recovery and growth.
Overall, this supervised case study phase is an extensive opportunity to build confidence, receive mentorship, and refine your skills before entering professional practice.
Please note that all criteria are subject to change based on the supervisor’s final decision and discretion.
